Holmen

Traditional methods like fencing or chemical repellents are expensive, labor-intensive, and often ineffective across large, remote areas.

Since March 2025, Flox has been working with Holmen and SLU researchers in a pilot project co-funded by the Swedish Energy Agency to study how Flox can help protect high-value forest sites from grazing wildlife like deer and elk. The testing sites are owned by Holmen, spread in various areas in Sweden.

By detecting animals early and delivering targeted, non-harmful deterrence, the system aims to keep browsing pressure low during the most critical growth phases—without disturbing the wider ecosystem.
