The Young Pioneer Award is presented to young people who, through innovation, courage, and determination, contribute to the development of society. For Sara, the recognition is a milestone not just personally, but for the entire mission behind Flox Intelligence — proving that technology can help people and wildlife share the same world more safely.
Receiving the award from His Majesty the King is a tremendous honour, and a reflection of the work of the whole team. From a research idea born at KTH in Stockholm to autonomous systems now protecting infrastructure across Europe and North America, the journey has been built on the belief that coexistence between humans and wildlife is an engineering problem worth solving.
Recognition for a growing mission
The award adds to a remarkable year for Flox Intelligence and its founder — a year in which the company expanded internationally, deepened partnerships with major infrastructure operators, and continued to build one of the world’s largest non-lethal wildlife datasets. It also follows other recognitions including Sweden’s Female Founder of the Year and the Deloitte Global Impact Award.
For Sara and the team, the honour is fuel for what comes next: scaling wildlife intelligence so that critical infrastructure everywhere can prevent human–wildlife conflict before it happens — protecting both people and the animals that share our landscapes.
“Receiving this award from His Majesty the King is a tremendous honour — and it belongs to our whole team. It’s a powerful reminder that coexistence between humans and wildlife is not only possible, but something worth dedicating our work to.”
