Following an oversubscribed seed in August, wildlife‑AI pioneer doubles down on U.S. market entry from Central New York.
NY — October 2025 — Flox, the wildlife intelligence company building AI that understands and speaks to wild animals through adaptive intelligence, today announced GENIUS NY—supported by Empire State Development (ESD)—as a new investor.
The addition follows Flox’s oversubscribed Seed round of nearly $1M in July led by Unconventional Ventures, with participation from Norrsken Evolve alongside other investors.
Backed by GENIUS NY, Flox has established its U.S. base in Central New York’s ecosystem and operates from CenterState CEO’s INSPYRE Innovation Hub. “Flox represents exactly the kind of world-changing technology GENIUS NY was designed to attract — turning AI and adaptable intelligence into a language for coexistence and proving that innovation can truly work in harmony with nature”, says Kara Jones, Director of GENIUS NY.
“Adding GENIUS NY to our cap table is a clear signal: the U.S. market is ready for wildlife‑safe operations at scale,” said Sara Nozkova, CEO and Co‑founder of Flox.
Flox is already collaborating with leaders including GRR Airport, USDA, WWF, Alstom, Boliden Minerals, and the Swedish Transport Administration. The new investment accelerates commercialization and U.S. market entry—right as industries and governments seek scalable, nature‑positive safety solutions.
