Stockholm, Sweden – November 2025 – Flox has been awarded the InfraAwards 2025 for its AI-driven solution Flox Edge, an AI-powered device that detects and safely deters wildlife from roads, railways, and industrial areas in real time.
The annual innovation competition, organized by InfraSweden in collaboration with Drive Sweden, recognizes cutting-edge projects that make transport infrastructure more sustainable, resilient, and data-driven. The winning project receives up to SEK 500,000 in development funding.
Flox Edge combines AI and wildlife science to reduce collisions and disruptions caused by animals while collecting privacy-safe data that helps authorities and operations improve long-term planning and maintenance.
“Flox Edge shows how shared data and smart technology can strengthen the entire transport system – from preventing accidents in real time to supporting smarter infrastructure investments,” said Sara Nozkova, CEO and Co-Founder of Flox.
Designed for Nordic conditions, Flox Edge is a fully autonomous, battery-powered unit that can operate for up to six months per charge with adaptive deterrence, and more than double for active monitoring. Using sensors, cameras, and species-specific sound cues, it detects wildlife movement and gently deters animals before they reach dangerous areas. Compact, weatherproof, and easy to relocate, it offers a flexible and sustainable alternative to traditional fencing or manual patrols.
The goal: to create a national implementation model for safer, data-driven, and resource-efficient infrastructure.
